Single Family Homes: Carolina Chase (also known as Haymarket Overlook) is a small enclave of 18 estate homes built between 2006 and 2008 off of Old Carolina Road. The lots range from one to three arcres and the home sizes range from 4,200 to 7,200 finished square feet. There have not been any recent resales in Carolina Chase. When the homes were originally purchased, sales prices ranged from $635,000 to $965,000.

Single Family Homes: Gates Mill is a newer community bordering James S. Long Park off of James Madison Highway. The 49 single family homes were built between 2006 and 2009. The lot sizes range from one-quarter to on-half ace and the homes range from 4,500 to 7,000 finished square feet. In 2009 and 2010, sales averaged $540,000.

Amenities: Greenhill Crossing is located off of Route 55 and straddles both Gainesville and Haymarket. Single Family Homes: Greenhill Crossing was begun in 1996 and now numbers nearly 200 single family homes, including The Reserve at Greenhill Crossing which is a new section of homes being developed by Kettler Forlines Homes. Home sizes range from 1,500 to 4,500 finished square feet and most of the homes have 4 bedrooms although there are a handful of both 3-bedroom and 5-bedroom properties. Gypsum Hills in Haymarket, Virginia

Single Family Homes: Gypsum Hills is an established community located off of Sudley Road. The 118 single family homes were built over three decades, starting in 1973 and are on lots of one to three acres. The homes range in size from 2,000 to 5,000 finished square feet and about 15 percent have three bedrooms. The home owners association is limited to maintaining the fishing lake in the neighborhood. There have been six sales over the last 24 months, ranging from $285,000 to $417,000.

Single Family Homes: Haymarket Station is a newer community of 60 single family homes built near Greenhill Crossing off Route 15. Development occured between 2005 and 2006 on lots ranging from .10 to .17 acres. In 2009, seven properties sold in Haymarket Station for and average of $337,400; in 2010 nine sales averaged $374,156.

There have been 5 sales in Hickory Gove over the last 24 months, ranging from $280,000 to $425,000.

In 2009, twelve homes sold for an average of $414,725 and in 2010, another twelve sales averaged $431,525.

Townhomes: There are another 250 townhomes in Westmarket, which were built between 2002 and 2009. The living space ranges from 2,200 to 4,000 finished square feet. In 2009, fifteen townhomes sold for an average of $289,273 and in the first half of 2010, fourteen properties sold for an average of $286,643.
